Integrated Basic Medical Sciences
This is the best option for students who do not have a medical foundation and are willing to take the Iridology Integrated with Medical and Holistic Sciences course. This class combines: Anatomy and Physiology with virtual 3D Interactive Lab, Medical Terminology, Fundamentals of Pathophysiology, and Fundamentals of Pharmacology.
This course integrates the normal structure and function of all body organ systems with the medical terms commonly used, the pathophysiology of the most common diseases, and the classification of drugs that can be used according to the affected system. The course is highly interactive. It contains discussion forums, case studies, video presentations, among other assignments. This course is online
with Live Lectures through Zoom.com.
Medical Terminology is the universal language that allows health care practitioners to understand medical terms and communicate with other practitioners in any health care setting. This course is directed toward the learning of medical terminology needs for health care personnel or others interested in related medical fields. The learning of the medical language is organized according to body systems including an analysis of the basic word structure to break down the medical terms in order to know their meanings. In addition, this class includes the study of anatomical terms, name of symptoms and signs of diseases, diagnostic procedures, as well as therapeutic procedures.
The course includes discussion forums, video presentations, and practical and theoretical assessments. This class is online with Live Lectures through Zoom.com.
Anatomy & Physiology
Anatomy and physiology are the foundation of any medical and allied healthcare practice. These subject matters explain how the body is formed and how it works. In other words: The structure and function of the human body. It is imperative to know the normal patterns of the body to identify the abnormal processes that take place when people are sick. Therefore, the study of anatomy and physiology is crucial for any future healthcare practitioner. This class is aimed at providing an integration of the body structure and function by using a systemic approach. The class includes the use of a 3D interaactive virtual Lab to perform virtual dissections and practice pronunciation.
This class provides clinical applications in all modules by using different types of assignments such as discussion forums, video presentations, and practical and theoretical assessments. This class is online with Live Lectures through Zoom.com.
Anatomy & Physiology Lab
This an actual wet laboratory fully operated from home. Students receive a Lab Kit including animal organs, dissection instruments, and products to perform actual organ dissections and physiology experiments. This course is the complement of the Anatomy and Physiology course. In this course, students should record video presentations of the experiments and dissections they perform. Recordings will be submitted for grading. In addition, students will take theoretical assessments and write a final essay in the last module. This course is 100% online and self-paced.
The pathophysiology course will focus on the alterations in anatomical and physiological changes that occur in the human body over time when disease processes are taking place. This class provides an explanation of the “whys” and “hows” of disease processes. There is no way to cure or improve health if practitioners do not know what is happening in the body. Therefore, pathophysiology sets the foundation to understand the purpose and rationale of any treatment method. If you want to suggest supplements, natural products, changes for healthier nutrition, or just a detox, you need to know the reasons. Anatomy and Physiology only show you the normal structure and function of the body. When people are sick there is an abnormal function of the body. This class is 100% online with Live Lectures through Zoom.com and includes discussion forums, case studies, and theoretical assessments.
This course provides a comprehensive review of drug classifications, common usages, and dosages of medications frequently prescribed in the healthcare field. This is an introductory course including principles of pharmacology, drug action, side effects, adverse effects, pharmacological interactions, among other topics. Is this class important for practitioners who will not prescribe medications? The answer is yes! Commonly, iridologists suggest or recommend remedies, supplements, and herbs. Do all of these have side effects? Yes. Do they have adverse effects? Yes. Toxic effects? Yes. Can they interact with other medications or substances? Yes. Therefore, the study of pharmacology is important. The course includes discussion forums, video presentations, case studies, and theoretical assessments. This class is 100% online and include Live Lectures through the Zoom App.
